{"id":644,"date":"2017-01-27T11:57:23","date_gmt":"2017-01-27T11:57:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/omrusstaging.com\/greaterharrisoncc\/2017\/01\/27\/grand-opening-freddys-frozen-custard-steakburgers\/"},"modified":"2017-01-27T11:57:23","modified_gmt":"2017-01-27T11:57:23","slug":"grand-opening-freddys-frozen-custard-steakburgers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/omrusstaging.com\/greaterharrisoncc\/2017\/01\/27\/grand-opening-freddys-frozen-custard-steakburgers\/","title":{"rendered":"Grand Opening: Freddy&#8217;s Frozen Custard &#038; Steakburgers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greaterharrisoncc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/freddys-logo.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1464 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/greaterharrisoncc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/freddys-logo.png\" alt=\"freddy&apos;s frozen custard and steak burgers\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><strong>HARRISON, Ohio&#8211;Jan. 27, 2017&#8211;<\/strong>A family-friendly restaurant chain with a presence in 30 states nationwide is making a debut in Harrison.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/freddysusa.com\">Freddy\u2019s Frozen Custard &amp; Steakburgers w<\/a>ill\u00a0open January 31 at 10925 New Haven Road (next to Tire Discounters).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased that they see this potential and have invested here in our community, said Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce Chairman Jim Kinnett. \u201cThis is just another example of how businesses find opportunity in the greater Harrison market. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Opening and ribbon cutting event is Jan. 31 at 9:30 am with a flag raising ceremony by the local Harrison Civil Air Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>Freddy\u2019s restaurant has strong ties to the military community as Founder Freddy Simon is a WWII hero, and has received the Purple Heart for bravery under General MacArthur for his service during the Normandy Invasion.<\/p>\n<p>Menu highlights of Freddy\u2019s include lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna All Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as custard treats prepared with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter their first meal at Freddy\u2019s, many of our guests ask us what makes our food taste so good,\u201d said Matt Saunders, head of development for PSP Foods, a franchisee of Freddy\u2019s Frozen Custard &amp; Steakburgers. \u201cIt\u2019s simple, really. We use quality ingredients, including premium, lean ground beef. And, we don\u2019t start cooking the food until after the order is placed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Freddy\u2019s favorite is its Signature Turtle dessert because the restaurant churns out its frozen custard fresh in the restaurant several times throughout the day, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s denser, richer and creamier than ice cream due to a churning process that eliminates excess air and ice crystals,\u201d according to Restaurant General Manager Jeff Pickron.<\/p>\n<p>The 3,476 square-foot restaurant seats 99 guests with additional seating on the patio.
