Anticipating the rising cost of utilities, Casey\u2019s Storage Solutions Business Manager Jamie Mather began looking for alternatives for electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs you can imagine, the energy bill for a 65,000 square-foot climate-controlled facility is extremely high,\u201d Mather said. \u201cWe found a solution for this through the Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce. The money we\u2019re saving easily covers the cost of membership in the Chamber.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chamber Energy Program saves many members over 15 percent on electricity and natural gas. The program is available for industrial, manufacturing, and office spaces as well as home-based businesses. Members may be able to use the program at their residence as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program works by uncovering low fixed prices for electricity and natural gas, managing contracts and finding exemptions and rebates. The program also includes education that prevents members from falling victim to scams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis program has empowered us to have some control of energy costs and it was a very simple process,\u201d Mather said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chamber members and local businesses can obtain a quote from the program by simply sending a copy of their most recent electric and natural gas bills to chamberenergy@ceateam.com<\/a>.
